New career path model
In 2011 the SPIN organisation thought about the changing role of the project planner. In this specific target group, aimed at the realization of projects, there has long been a shift towards a differentiation between the control of a project or management of all projects. This development is also recognizable in the used planning and project management software systems.
New demands and requirements
The planning and management within a multi-project or project portfolio requires new skills of the planners. More and more they develop into advisors of senior management. Training and knowledge levels currently used for the project planner do not necessarily meet these requirements . Time for an improved career path!
Quality first!
SPIN’s definition of the project planner’s career path not only improves the terms and conditions for this job but also the requirements of education and training. The improved definition also creates new possible jobs in the market and redefines existing internal job profiles. All with the goal of professionalization of the career path and improved quality of the project planner.
